R. Richard Miller - President
R. Richard Miller established R. R. Miller Construction,
Inc. in 1977 and serves as President. A North Carolina
licensed General Contractor, Ric has successfully practiced
general contracting for over 30 years. He received his
formal education at East Carolina University and his
comprehensive experience includes commercial, retail,
industrial, religious, institutional, and recreational
As well as being a talented, client oriented Contractor, Ric
is a skillful manager and has steered the firm into a
position of substained growth. He realized early that how
well we do our work rather than how much work we do, is the
primary factor in maintaining our continued success and
competitive edge. Ric has always emphasized the importance
of being involved in the local community. He has served on
City Council, past Chairman of the Greenville
Planning and Zoning Commission, past Chairman of Greenville
Utilities Commission, Past president of the Greenville Pitt
County Builders Association, a Director of Branch Bank &
Trust, Past Chairman and current member of the Greenville
Salvation Army Advisory Board, and current Director of the
Brody Foundation, Inc.
S. Andrew Miller, P.E. - Vice President
Andy Miller, is a licensed North Carolina Professional
Engineer, General Contractor and Real Estate Broker. He
received his Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering with
construction option from North Carolina State University.
After an assignment with the North Carolina Department of
Transportation in Raleigh, Andy returned to join the family
business. He serves as our marketing and development manager
as well as oversees all of our in-house design work and
coordination with our many consultants.
Judith H. Miller - Treasurer & Corporate Secretary
Judi Miller plays a vital role in our firm as office manager
and controller. Her organizational skills, enthusiasm, and
energy offer Miller Construction a level of cohesion and
coordination that is essential to our services. Judi
attended East Carolina University and is adept in accounting
and computer operation. Judi's training and experience and
her professional manner define a unique personality which
contributes invaluably to our organization.
Franklin Brown - Plumbing Manager
Franklin Brown, a licensed North Carolina Plumbing
Contractor, merged his successful plumbing company with
Miller Construction in 1992. Franklin with over thirty years
of plumbing experience in eastern North Carolina manages our
plumbing division to insure quality control on each of our
Bill Anderson - Project Manager
Bill Anderson received his BS Degree in Construction
Management at East Carolina University in 1997 and joined
our management team at that time. Prior to his graduation,
Bill worked for our firm in many capacities while pursuing
this degree. Bill has managed many of our commercial
interior upfit and remodeling projects throughout Eastern
Joseph Hathaway - Pre-Engineered Building
Joseph Hathaway joined our construction firm in 1979. Thru
continuing experience and education, Joe is a certified
pre-engineered building mechanic for CECO Building Systems.
Joe handles all of our pre-engineered building structures
and has vast experience in this specialized field.
Ann Smith-Human Resources Director & Assistant
Ann Smith received her BS degree in Social Work from East
Carolina University in 1981. She joined our team in 2003
bringing with her several years of experience in
construction office operations and social work management.
Her knowledge of human resources, willingness to do whatever
it takes to complete the task at hand and her out-going
personality compliment our team.
Jamie M. Harrison-Designer/AutoCAD Operator
Jamie Harrison received an AAS degree in Architectural
Technology from Pitt Community College, and also attended
East Carolina University where she received a BS degree in
Construction Management. Upon graduation from East Carolina
University in 2006 she joined our company. Jamie creates
Architectural drawings for our company using AutoCAD, and
also files all of our received Architectural plans.
Brian Booth received his BS degree in Construction
Management from East Carolina University in 1999. Brian
joined our company in 2007 with 6 years of field experience
as a superintendent on various commercial projects. Using
his knowledge and experience in the construction industry
Brian does estimates for our construction projects.
